Aloha and greetings from Kaui!

This weeks newsletter is all about the benefits of juicing and how that coincides with Self-Love. I am excited to share a green juice recipe and a belly love ritual to help with your daily practice.

Juicing and Recipes

One of the first things I started doing when I began my Self-Love practice was juicing daily. It was a natural progression as the more love I started having for myself, the more I wanted to shift and change my overall health. It has made a huge impact on my my life, changing my mood, energy levels and the way I digest and receive nourishment.

Juice fasting or juicing for an extended period of time is one of the most powerful practices that we have available today as it has the power to detox, nourish and revitalize the whole system at the same time. Not only does it help on the physical but the spiritual and emotional level, having powerful realizations and reconnection with the true self. As every organ detoxes, the memories that lay dormant and stuck start to be revealed for us to release. When we can connect with them during this process the transformation is powerful!  I will be getting more into this later. 😉

I always say “take it easy” so implementing one fresh juice a day is a great start. You can begin by replacing it with your coffee or caffeinated tea and slowly but surely you will start to feel more energized. Here is a great simple recipe that I love to make and suggest to anyone interested in juicing!

Juicer
First things first, you will need a juicer. If you don’t already have a one, here are the juicers we highly recommend. These are sample sites but you can usually find good deals online, sometimes even second hand via craigslist.

Omega juicer 8008
Kuvings whole slow juicer
Green star juicer

Green Juice:
Ingredients
Organic produce
2 peeled green apples
5 celery stalks
1 cucumber
Small piece of fresh ginger

Place all ingredients in the juicer starting with apples, cucumbers and ginger first then celery last. Mix well together then enjoy. Feel free to add more of each if you would like a larger portion.

We highly suggest having a juice first thing in the am before any food then following up with fruit. If you take juice later in the day just be sure not to put it over any heavy foods.

Belly Love:

Prior to eating any food or drink esp first thing in the morning is to give your belly some love. A simple massage preparing your organs and digestive track to receive food and nourishment.

*Going counterclockwise slowly start to massage from the top down in a circular position. You can even say “I love you, I am so grateful for this nourishment.”

It’s also important to take your time and enjoy it, there is no rush, no hurry, just allow yourself to drink and be present with oneself.

Let me know what you think and how you felt with this juice as we always enjoy hearing your feedback!

Stay tuned for more recipes!!

Much love,
